Jose Tamayo passes away from complications with diabetes.

In their memory, The Jose and Mary Tamayo Memorial Scholarship was created to support students pursuing post-secondary education, including two- or four-year college or vocational school. Although Jose and Mary Tamayo were not able to attend college, they wholeheartedly believed in education and were proud that all 5 of their sons graduated from college.
